Environmental Translation

Images become atmospheric or spatial sound environments. Landscapes, architecture, interiors, and textures are translated into ambient drones, environmental layers, and evolving atmospheres.

Try an image, adjust the settings and download your sound. Uploaded previews stay in this browser; library, generated and gallery sources use public links. Guest experiments are not saved. Sign in for saved studies, collections and publishing.

Each translation interprets a 64 × 64 image sample over 8 seconds. Download your sound before leaving.

How this mapping works

Rows become sustained harmonic layers. Image brightness shapes their level over time. Evolution Rate controls pitch drift, Tonal Warmth changes upper-band weighting, and Reverb Space adds a short feedback echo. Audio finishing adds optional stereo placement and movement.

Sound character (advanced)
Waveformsine
MODFM Modulation
0%

Adds brighter, more complex tones.

Sound settings

Duration stretches the image scan and note spacing. Use Audio finishing for channel placement, output gain and loop edge fades.

ATMAtmosphere Depth
65

Higher values raise the pitch range.

SPCOutput Level
70

Higher values make the sound louder.

LYRLayer Density
40

Higher values add more sound layers.

EVOEvolution Rate
25

Higher values speed up pitch drift.

WRMTonal Warmth
60

Higher values soften upper layers.

RVBReverb Space
55

Higher values add more of a short echo.

Audio finishing

Edge fading brings both ends to silence without changing duration. It softens the join but may create a rhythmic dip. MIDI and note diagrams describe the original sequence before audio finishing.
